Quite often, when the autumn nights start to draw in, our gardens and their furnishings become a place of neglect until spring comes back around. However, here at LeisureBench, we would like to advocate for the benefits that spending more time in the great outdoors can bring over the autumn season and our top tips for keeping warm and cosy throughout.

As a nation, we all know that getting outside improves our physical and emotional health, but often, we leave our walking boots under the stairs once the chill of winter sets in. However, we recommend donning your shoes and strolling through your local park to help ward off any seasonal affective disorder and restore your natural focus.

Experts recommend getting at least 30 minutes of light daily in October and November to keep our minds and bodies thriving. So why not brew your favourite cup of coffee and take a pew outside your back door to breathe in all the benefits of nature as an effective way to get that essential vitamin D?

Let’s consider some fantastic ways to enjoy our natural spaces this season.

Firepits for Autumn Gardens

Our first suggestion is investing in an outdoor fire pit and placing it at the central point of a sofa area. Alongside an outdoor rug, lighting and cushions, you’ll create the perfect place to sit back with a loved one and enjoy watching the stars.

Fire pits come in a massive range of sizes and styles for you to choose from and replicate the feeling of camping under the moonlight with the safety of being able to head back inside should the heavens open!

Electric Heaters for Autumn Outdoor Spaces

An excellent option for commercial or domestic properties, these heaters are fantastic in your beer garden paired with parasols, bar stools and tables. Paired with some ambient jazz, your guests will return over and over to enjoy your establishment.

We love furniture from the Rochester range for an industrial feel in your outdoor space.

Chimeneas are excellent paired alongside Small Garden Furniture

Chimeneas offer a traditional feel in any garden and are excellent options for those with younger children who want to keep them safe from open flames. If you’re stuck for space, adding one alongside some folding furniture adds a lovely ambience without being overpowering.

Don’t forget to add some blankets to your outdoor furniture set-up, and get ready to kick back with friends and watch the sunset.

Conservatory Furniture

If you’re lucky enough to have a conservatory or sun room and aren’t ready to sit out and brave the cold. Opening the windows or door of your space while sitting with your morning coffee can still bring all the health benefits we’ve discussed while ensuring your comfort levels are protected.

With chairs, tables, and so much more on offer, we’re confident you’ll find the pieces you love, no matter your style.

Here at LeisureBench, we value all our customers. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more advice on our furniture collections; we’re happy to assist.
